One Day workshop was conducted Titled as “Design and Analysis of Algorithm” on 28.02.2020, Mr.M.Kumarasen, Director Technical, Aatrral Academy, Coimbatore, was the chief guest of the programme.
FIRST PLACE with GOLD MEDAL in “Inter Zone” Judo
“K.Gayathri, III-IT” was selected in All India University Selection. She got FIRST PLACE with GOLD MEDAL in “Inter Zone”, Judo which was held at Paavai Engineering College on 09.12.19

Two Day’s Faculty Development Program on “Introduction to Big Data Analytics” associated with ICT Academy held on 18 & 19.02.2019
The Department of Information Technology cordially conducted Faculty Development Program on “Introduction to Big Data Analytics” associated with ICT Academy held at CSE Lab III on 18.02.2019 & 19.02.2019. The Chief Guest of this Faculty Development Program was Mr.E. Hari Prasath, Senior Technical Trainer, ICT Academy. The Programme was started at 10.00 AM on 18.02.19. Dr. P. Prabaharan, M.E., Ph.D., Head of the Department, Information Technology welcomed the gathering and Dr. C. G. Ravichandran, M.E., Ph.D., Principal, Vivekanandha College of Technology for women facilitated the gathering. Dr. R. Punithavathi, M.E., Ph.D., Dean – Academic/CSE, IT, S&H initiated the programme by addressing the importance of big data. The Resource Person Mr.E.Hari Prasath, Senior Technical Trainer, ICT Academy, addressed the gathering about the importance of big data. He shared his experience and current situation in software field to the faculty members. The detailed explanation about Big Data, Introduction to Data Analytics, Data Analytics Using R, Building a Predictive model in R-Studio He mainly focused on Real time projects in Big Data, which helps to sharpening our knowledge in engineering perspective.
The FDP covers the following modules:

One Day Hands-on training on “Real Time Applications using IoT” was held on 29-12-2018 at CSE LABORATORY 2 -VCTW. The Chief Guest was Mr. Jeevanantham Arumugam, Professor/IT, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai. The Programme was started at 09.30 AM. Welcome address was given by Dr. P. Prabaharan, M.E., Ph.D., Head of the Department, Information Technology.Dr. C. G. Ravichandran, M.E., Ph. D, Principal, Vivekanandha College of Technology for Women felicitated the gathering. Ms. K. Sudhadevi, M.E., Association Co-ordinator initiated the programme by addressing the students the importance of IoT. The Vote of Thanks and special address by Dr. R. Punithavathi, M.E., Ph.D. Dean Academic/CSE,IT,S&H. The Resource person Mr. Jeevanantham Arumugam addressed the gathering about the importance of IoT. He shared his vision of experience, regarding IoT, through this students gained more knowledge. The detailed explanation about Characteristics of IoT device, IoT Protocols, IoT Systems and levels, Need of Arduino and its types were also presented.
