About the Department

Welcome to Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 students. The Department has well qualified faculty members with excellent academic records. The Department is equipped with excellent laboratory facilities. Currently the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is mainly engaged in the educational and scientific activities in the broad field related to the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power. The faculty members have strong sense of responsibility to provide the finest possible education for students. The students of this department have secured almost cent percent placement in various high profile companies. Our alumni who have gone on to distinguished careers as innovators in industry, living and working throughout the world, still have corporate and personal ties to the college through recruitment, mentoring, guest lectures, and other interactions. The Department has been moving forward in achieving academic excellence with a strong commitment and dedicated approach, by clearly setting up of a vision of its own. Initiatives have taken already in yielding excellent results, in terms of research funding and other developmental activities thus keeping us in the path of excellence.

On completion of Electrical and Electronics Engineering program, the student will have the following Program Specific Outcomes.

PSO1:Foundation of Electrical Engineering: Ability to understand the principles and working of electrical components, circuits, systems and control that are forming a part of power generation, transmission, distribution, utilization, conservation and energy saving. Students can assess the power management, auditing, crisis and energy saving aspects.

PSO2:Foundation of Mathematical Concepts: Ability to apply mathematical methodologies to solve problems related with electrical engineering using appropriate engineering tools and algorithms.

PSO3:Computing and Research Ability: Ability to use knowledge in various domains to identify research gaps and hence to provide solution which leads to new ideas and innovations.

PO1: Apply the Mathematical knowledge and the basics of Science and Engineering to solve the problems pertaining to Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

PO2: Identify and formulate Electrical and Electronics Engineering problems from research literature and be ability to analyze the problem using first principles of Mathematics and Engineering Sciences.

PO3: Come out with solutions for the complex problems and to design system components or process that fulfill the particular needs taking into account public health and safety and the social, cultural and environmental issues.
